Vicente Padialla has become the pride of Nicaragua now as a Dodger. Facing his former team the Phillies in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series. Going 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 4 hits, 1 walk, 1 run on a solo home run and 6 strikeouts. He pitched well enough to earn the win, but left the game in the 8th trailing by a score of 1-0.

What a game last night. Not so great to lose the first game of the series, but I still enjoyed being there and watching it unfold. We outhit the Phils, but they outscored us and the number of walks issued is a clear reminder how they can hurt you in a crucial situation when making strikes and getting outs is important.

Apparently in my enthusiasm of last Wednesday night's win and sweep of the Cincinnati Reds at Dodger Stadium and the still ongoing euphoria of Manny Ramirez's pinch hit Grand Slam to give the Dodgers the lead and Billingsley his 10th win of the season, I left/lost my phone near my seat and hadn't realized it until well after leaving the ballpark ( Read more... )

I just got home from going to the Dodgers' Postseason Rally at Dodger Stadium with my son and genevieve  tonight. We arrived there right at 6pm and made our way to the stands and it was swarming with fans! So the Dodgers swept the Washington Nationals today and Clayton Kershaw notched his first MLB win this afternoon giving him a 1-3 record. All he has to do now is balance his books. Clayton, Park, Kuo and Broxton blanked the Nationals 2-0 for the second consecutive shut-out of the series vs. the Nats. I'm looking forward to the Dodgers @ Nationals ( Read more... )
